About

My Story

Everyone has a story and a purpose in life, right? Well, welcome to my life! My name is Adee Ray, I am a Christian, a wife, a mother, a daughter, a friend, a woman that loves to get exhausted in the kitchen and spend 24/7 raising her son, chase him all around the house, wipe the cutest little butt, and teach him all about LIFE and LOVE.I want to start by telling you who I am and why I created this blog, what you will be seeing more of in my posts, and what is it that I love or what I am passioned about.

I am 34 years old, a little Romanian girl, born and raised in Romania (I can hear voices asking “where’s that?”). I was born in a Christian home, grew up with a brother, 2,5 years older. I have two amazing parents that are my main role model, wonderful, loving and always there for me. I always loved school, had goals and I accomplished many of them, what can I say, it brought me where I am. I grew up on the stage since I was a little girl, singing, dancing. In 2008 I graduated the University of Theatre and Film, in 2014 I graduated my Master’s Degree in Intercultural Management. It feels like I am writing my resume for some reason. Hahaha!I came to United States in 2014 soon after graduating my Master’s Degree, with a program for students and my life changed forever.

Why I started my blog
20 months ago I gave birth to my first son, Monroe Jonathan! I have always known that when I will become a mother, I will be that person that raises her children, so daycare was never an option to me. September 27th of 2017 the day that changed me forever, I had no experience, but I did have so much love in my heart, big as the size of the Universe. I started just like any other new mom, with simple or no knowledge, with sleepless nights and tons of ounces or liters of pumped breast milk, that got to the point of filling in a month a deep freezer. Then, friends started telling me that I should share my experience. I smiled and said “Really? Who would want to hear about this?”.
Content On my Blog

The amount of ideas and things that I want to share, how-to’s and big no-no’s it’s about to pop out and make the world better. Kidding. Or maybe. I realized that one of the best ways to seek and connect with other moms would be through this, starting a blog. Having other moms in our life is vital for our mental health and social media is the best tool for it. I remember when I had my son, born at 35 weeks (I will write a separate article about this) and I struggled with breastfeeding and then I started pumping (along with breastfeeding when it was possible). Well, little did I know that I will become an expert in pumping, tips and tricks, what to eat, what to do or NOT to do! When I googled it in the beginning, I only found lalecheleaguye.com and kellymom.com which it was a huge help, BUT, not that much for pumping, more for breastfeeding.Other friends started appreciating how my food and my recipes look or taste and they suggested “hey, you should start a blog”.I never understood why people wrote blogs. After tons and tons of research, I have become completely in love and inspired enough to do this.

Things to Look out For in my Blogs

Cooking and parenting will be the main topics of my blog, but not the only ones. Expect to see also make up personal tips/favorite products, lifestyle, fitness, Christian inspirational and motivational Bible verses that help me float and never give up, how I deal with loneliness or toddler life, what to feed a child, how to make homemade food from scratch that will save you time and the list could go on.

When I was a teenager I used to have a diary and I think that still exists, I used to write poetries and imagine myself on a stage. Hilarious, I became an actress later! I always loved to write, I always loved literature, but I never imagined myself in front of a computer and work. I was a free spirit, I have been an actress since I remember myself, studied many years of music, ballet, so I worked with myself and for an Institution, never for myself.
